What We Expect From You:

By working with us, you agree to adhere to the following:


1) Behaviour and Communication

  • 1.1 - Respect for Tutors: Treat your 1-1 tutor with respect and professionalism, adhering to courteous and appropriate communication.

  • 1.2 - Parental Consent: For students under 18, ensure that communication is verified and approved by a parent or guardian when necessary.

  • 1.3 - Communication with Tutors: Direct all communication with your 1-1 tutor through the approved channels and maintain a respectful tone.

  • 1.4 - Approved Channels: Where possible, contact tutors through WhatsApp, Email or in your designated lesson slots.

2) Rescheduling and Cancelling Sessions:

  • 2.1 - Communication: Students are required to contact their tutor within six hours of the agreed time if they need to reschedule. Whether a rescheduling fee will be charged is determined at the tutor's discretion, the price of which is equal to the tutor’s hourly rate.

  • 2.2- Cancellation: Students are required to contact their tutor within six hours of the agreed time if they need to cancel. Whether a cancellation fee will be charged is determined at the tutor's discretion, the price of which is equal to the tutor’s hourly rate.

  • 2.3 - Our Side: Lessons cancelled on our behalf will never be charged, however Lambda Tuition reserves the right to change hourly rates with or without notice, though we will make every attempt to contact and notify clients prior to doing so.

  • 2.4 - Refunds: Refunds are processed and authorized at the tutor’s discretion,

  • 2.5 - Recordings: Lessons are not recorded by default, however should a student/tutor deem it necessary to record and store lesson recordings, the tutor must acquire written approval from the paying client to do so.

3) Violation of Terms

  • 3.1 - Consequences: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of lessons and indefinite suspension of services.
